– la messa al bando di tutti i funzionari del regime siriano che lavorano ancora all’interno delle istituzioni internazionali;

– la presa di distanza tra le istituzioni internazionali e gli apparati di Stato in Siria in modo che gli aiuti umanitari possano essere distribuiti senza il ricatto delle milizie lealiste;

Nessuna interlocuzione d’ ora in poi!

E’ finita ora.

IN INGLESE

The Syrian people and humanity have the same fate!

We have just witnessed live the umpteenth heinous war crime of the Assad regime in Syria! It has been documented and has already made news around the world; and it is clearly in violation of international humanitarian laws: the time has come for it to stop!

International institutions must finally demonstrate that they are guarantors of international treaties to which they are United Nations signatories!

The chemical attack in Khan Sheikun, in the province of Idlib today, 4 April 2017, is yet another provocation by the regime to the entire Community of Nations that declare the primacy of observance of human rights and are signatories of the Geneva Conventions – signed after the defeat of Nazism and Fascism. It is a clear crime against humanity in which scores of innocent and unarmed civilians, including many children, have been slaughtered.

As always, the regime is counting on their impunity. Damascus seeks to provoke more blood and the spirit of revenge in the Syrian civilian population, which has already undergone six years of indiscriminate massacres.

The macabre cycle that Bashar has triggered in 2011 was to bring his regime to win the competition of horror that he has unilaterally decreed. The civilian population with its peaceful protests, and its cheerful spirit instead chose to take the opposite track, that of social redemption and cultural renewal before political and military interests. This regaining of their dignity as a people, this is what has brought all of us from day one to support the demands and spirit of profound renewal in Syria – so ardently yearned for by all oppressed sectors of the population – and brought us to the streets along with Syrians who were reconquering their Liberty.

After yesterday’s attack on the subway in St. Petersburg , which killed more innocent civilians, the Assad regime sought to re-establish itself on the scene as the chief dictator. Until the moment he is removed from office, the Syrian people will not have peace, nor will there be peace in the Middle East.

Therefore we signatories demand from the Italian government and the European Union:

– the expulsion of all officials of the Syrian regime still working within international institutions;

– the distancing from the international institutions and state apparatuses in Syria so that humanitarian aid can be delivered without the blackmail of the loyalist militias;

– the immediate convocation of a Syrian Permanent Conference under the aegis of the UN that works to develop a constitutional formula for the country and that definitively will distance it from the dictatorship by dismantling the repressive apparatus.

We believe that the Syrian regime will fall by itself, without the need for a foreign military intervention, in the very same moment that it is rejected by the world.

No more dialogue from now on! Let us say the truth to the regime to its face: You are NOT welcome! Your time is up.
